In short: Shrinker Pro is free and open source. Shrinker Studio is a paid upgrade inside it, sold by Eight-Seven Inc.. Orders are processed by Paddle.com, our reseller and merchant of record. You pay once, your licence is for one person on up to 2 Macs, commercial work included, and you own the images you make with it.
This summary is for convenience. The terms below are what apply.
1. Who we are
These terms are an agreement between you and Eight-Seven Inc. (“we”, “us”), the company that makes Shrinker Pro and Shrinker Studio and runs this website. Our registered address is Eight-Seven Inc., 801-294 Chandler Drive, Kitchener, Ontario N2E 2K1, Canada. You can reach us at [email protected].
They cover this website (shrinkerstudio.app), our Shrinker Pro website (shrinkerpro.app), the Shrinker Pro app, and Shrinker Studio, the paid upgrade inside it.
2. Accepting these terms
By using this website, using Shrinker Studio, or buying a Shrinker Studio licence, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use them. If you are accepting on behalf of a company or other organisation, you confirm you are allowed to bind it to these terms.
3. Ordering through Paddle
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.
When you buy Shrinker Studio, you buy it from Paddle, which takes payment, calculates and collects any sales tax or VAT, and issues your receipt. Your purchase is also covered by Paddle’s Buyer Terms. For anything about a payment, an invoice or a refund, you can contact Paddle at paddle.net, or write to us and we will help.
4. Price and payment
Shrinker Studio costs US$49, paid once. Every future update to Shrinker Studio is included at no extra charge. There is no subscription and nothing renews. Its launch price is US$35 until Cyber Monday, 30 November 2026.
Prices are shown in US dollars. Checkout may show the price in your local currency, and adds any tax that applies where you live. The price you see at checkout, before you pay, is the price you are charged.
5. Shrinker Pro is free and open source
Shrinker Pro is free to use, without limits. Its source code is published under the MIT License, and nothing in these terms limits what that license allows. The app also bundles third-party components under their own licenses, listed in the third-party licenses.
Shrinker Studio is not covered by the MIT License. It is licensed to you under section 6.
6. Your Shrinker Studio licence
When you buy Shrinker Studio, we grant you a perpetual, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use it. The licence is for one person, for personal or commercial work, on up to 2 Macs that you use.
Your licence is delivered as a signed licence file, by download as soon as checkout finishes and by email to the address you bought with. If you lose it, you can have it emailed to that address again from the lost licence page. Studio checks the licence on your Mac and works offline; there is no activation server. While a licence is installed, Studio downloads, once a day and on its own schedule separate from the update check, a signed list of cancelled licences from our licence service on Cloudflare Workers and compares it with the licence on your Mac. The list holds only one-way hashes of order IDs, with no names or email addresses, and the request sends nothing about you: no licence, order or other identifier. Each Studio update also ships with the current list built in. On the free trial, with no licence installed, Studio makes no such request at all. The 2-Mac limit is on trust: nothing counts your Macs, and we rely on you to keep to it. The licence shows the name you enter when you buy, or your email address if you leave it empty, in the app.
You may not:
- share your licence file, or publish it, beyond the Macs it covers;
- let anyone else use your licence, or sell, rent or transfer it to anyone else;
- remove, bypass or tamper with Studio’s licence check, or help anyone else do so.
7. Trying before you buy
Shrinker Studio is fully usable before you buy, limited to 10 exports in total. Images you export during the trial are yours to keep and use, as with any other export.
8. Updates
Your licence includes every future update to Shrinker Studio that we release, at no further charge. Updates arrive through Shrinker Pro’s own update mechanism. We decide what goes into each update and when to release it, and new versions may need a newer version of macOS than the one you have.
9. Ownership
We own Shrinker Studio, this website and the Shrinker Pro and Shrinker Studio names and icons, along with the intellectual property in them, except for the open-source code licensed under section 5. A licence gives you the right to use Studio; it does not transfer ownership of it.
10. Your images
Shrinker Pro and Shrinker Studio work entirely on your Mac. We never receive, see or store the images you open or make with them.
You keep every right you have in the images you put in, and you own what you make from them. We claim no rights in either. You are responsible for having the rights you need in the images you edit and publish, and for how you use the results.
Features such as redaction, watermarks and metadata editing change what is in your files. Check each result before you rely on it, especially before sharing an image that has had something removed from it.
11. Acceptable use
You agree not to use this website, Shrinker Pro or Shrinker Studio:
- for anything unlawful, or to help anyone else break the law;
- for fraud, including with stolen payment details, or to send spam;
- to infringe anyone’s intellectual property, privacy or other rights, including by editing or publishing images you have no right to use;
- to interfere with the security of this website or of our services: no malware, no probing or scanning for vulnerabilities, no attempts at unauthorised access, and no automated scraping that puts a load on the site.
12. Reporting infringement
If you believe something on this website, or in Shrinker Pro or Shrinker Studio, infringes your rights, write to [email protected] with what it is, where it is, and why you believe it infringes. We will look into it promptly and, where the claim is well founded, take the material down. We will end the licence of anyone who repeatedly uses our software or website to infringe the rights of others.
13. Refunds
You can get a refund within 14 days of buying, for any reason. A refund, or a chargeback, cancels your Shrinker Studio licence: Studio finds it on the list of cancelled licences described in section 6, usually within a day, and returns to the free trial. The refund policy explains how, and forms part of these terms.
14. No guarantee of uninterrupted or error-free service
We work to make Shrinker Pro, Shrinker Studio and this website reliable, but we do not guarantee that they will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for every purpose. They are provided “as is” and “as available”. Keep backups of images that matter to you; Shrinker Pro keeps your originals by default, and that default exists for a reason.
Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under consumer law that cannot be excluded.
15. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss, or for lost data, profits or business, arising from your use of this website, Shrinker Pro or Shrinker Studio. Our total liability to you for anything relating to Shrinker Studio is limited to the amount you paid for it. Shrinker Pro is free, and our liability for it is limited to the extent its MIT License provides.
These limits do not apply where the law does not allow them to, such as liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
16. Suspension and termination
We may end your licence, and refuse further sales or support, if you:
- materially break these terms, including the licence limits in section 6;
- do not pay, including by reversing or charging back a payment you made;
- pose a security or fraud risk to us, to Paddle or to other customers; or
- repeatedly or seriously break these terms, including section 11.
A refund or a chargeback cancels your licence: Studio finds it on the list of cancelled licences described in section 6 and returns to the free trial. If your licence ends, you must stop using Shrinker Studio and delete your licence file. Sections 9, 10, 14, 15 and 18 continue to apply afterwards. You can stop using our software at any time.
17. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms, for example when Shrinker Studio gains features or the law changes. The date at the top shows when they last changed. A change never takes away a licence you have already paid for, or reduces what it covers.
18. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable there. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country you live in.
